Weber Shandwick’s Andy Polansky Included into PR News’ Hall of Fame

Andy Polansky, president of top global public relations firm Weber Shandwick, was inducted into the PR News Hall of Fame at the PR News People Awards ceremony held yesterday at The National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

“Andy Polansky has consistently exhibited personal traits that have served him well: exemplary character, quiet leadership, focus on the team and a principled nature that engenders trust and loyalty of colleagues and clients around the world,” read a PR News statement. “While overseeing the agency’s global operations…Polansky still makes himself available to all levels of employees. This personable style – combined with business acumen – has made him one of the most respected executives in PR.”

Weber shandwick everything-prNot only did Polansky make it to PR News’ Hall of Fame, but several other professionals who are part of the Weber Shandwick team were honored at the PR News People Awards. Tim Marklein, executive vice president of Measurement & Strategy was named Measurement Expert/PR Analyst of the Year and both Garland Harwood, account director in the firm’s Technology practice, and Bradley Portnoy, senior digital strategist, were named to PR News’ 15-to-Watch list that honors emerging PR leaders and creative practitioners aged 30 and under.

Weber Shandwick has had a good run in what industry honors and recognitions are concerned: they were named Global Agency of the Year, for the second year in a row, by The Holmes Report, Digital Firm of the Year by PR News, Advertising Age’s A-List and Agency of the Decade, CR Magazine’s Top Corporate Responsibility Advisory Firm, PR Agency of the Year by the American Business Awards, International Consultancy of the Year at both the PRWeek Awards and the Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA) Awards, and Agency of the Year at the European Excellence Awards.
