Charlottesville Albemarle Airport Authority Issues RFP

The Charlottesville Albemarle Airport Authority has issued an RFP for Creative Marketing and Website Services .

Background:

The Charlottesville Albemarle Airport Authority is a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia, created in 1984 by the Virginia Acts of Assembly. The Authority board consists of the City Manager, the County Executive, and one private citizen appointed from the Charlottesville Albemarle Joint Airport Commission. The Commission is an advisory group consisting of seven members appointed by the Charlottesville City Council and Albemarle County Board of Supervisors. The Authority owns and operates this non-hub airport which serves the greater Central Virginia region. The Commission provides input to the Authority and to the community on airport affairs. The daily management of the airport is overseen by the Executive Director and a staff of approximately 38, including the following departments: parking, administration, marketing, maintenance, and public safety.

The Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport is a non-hub commercial facility served by three major airlines with approximately 50 flight departures/arrivals per day. These airlines include:

  • Delta Air Lines – Atlanta, New York City – LGA
  • American Airlines – Chicago, Charlotte, Philadelphia, and New York City – LGA
  • United  Express – Washington-Dulles, Chicago

Scope of Work:

During the term of awarded contract, Proposer shall provide creative marketing and website services as detailed below:

  1. Creative Marketing Services
    The successful bidder will:

    • Provide graphic design services
    • Provide website design
    • Participate in brainstorming/concept development
    • Collaborate with CHO employees on marketing opportunities
    • Evaluate potential marketing strategies
    • Strategize promotional campaigns
    • Provide brand awareness support
    • Provide social media marketing support
    • Provide project support as needed
  2. Website Services – Content Migration
    The successful bidder will:

    • Propose a one-time fee to migrate official and staging websites to a new server
    • Assist the Authority in selecting a hosting provider that is reliable, responsive, and cost effective.
    • Migrate official and staging websites to new host server with minimal downtime.
    • Ensure both websites have been installed and are working properly.
  3. Website Services – Support
    The successful bidder will:

    • Install and maintain any required hardware or software necessary to maintain CHO website
    • Install and deploy updates monthly or as needed to ensure stability and security
    • Be the direct interface with the hosting provider, and manage all hosting aspects of the website
    • Provide website maintenance and support in a timely manner
    • Provide technical and professional services to update website content as requested
    • Provide site usage metrics and analytics for marketing purposes
    • Provide site protection
    • Provide 24 hour 7 days per week  support for website emergencies
    • Guarantee functionality on all popular browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome
    • Back up all site content on a daily basis, or as needed
