Cherokee Nation Issues RFP For Social Media Marketing Agency

The Nation is seeking proposals from interested parties with qualifications, credentials, and previous experience providing services for organizations similar in size and scope.

Background:

The Cherokee Nation is the federally recognized government of the Cherokee people and thereby has sovereign status granted by treaty and law. Tribal sovereignty is right to self-governance. The seat of tribal government is the W.W. Keeler Complex near Tahlequah, Oklahoma, capital of the Cherokee Nation. The jurisdictional area of the Cherokee Nation (hereinafter referred to as Nation) covers 14 counties in Northeastern Oklahoma. The Nation’s Commerce Department is dedicated to securing and enhancing the financial well-being of people, businesses, and communities located throughout the jurisdictional area.

The Commerce Department has received funding for the development of social media marketing plans. The selected party will work with ten (10) socially disadvantaged groups throughout the Cherokee Nation jurisdictional area. These plans are to increase exposure for services or products for each of the groups. The awarded party will put together the marketing plan and work one-on-one with each of the groups to implement the marketing plan. A copy of each marketing plan will be given to the respective group and to the Cherokee Nation Commerce Department.

Scope of Work:

Contractor to assist in the creation of social media marketing plans for ten (10) socially disadvantaged groups throughout the Cherokee Nation 14 County jurisdictional boundaries. These plans will increase the exposure for services or products for each of the groups. The awarded bidder will put together the marketing plan and work one on one with each of the groups to implement the marketing plan. A copy of each marketing plan will be given to the respective group and to the Commerce Department at Cherokee Nation.

  • Social media marketing plan for 10 individual non-profit organizations
  • Work will be done at client’s site (not Cherokee Nation property)
  • Previous work with tribal entities, at least 3 years’ experience in social media platform training.
  • The completion deadline is September 15th, 2018.
