CrowdCompass has recently closed $1.3 million in venture capital funding in a Series A round led by the Oregon Angel Fund. Based in Portland, Oregon, CrowdCompass is a supplier of branded, native mobile apps for conferences and events. The investment will be used in marketing and to further develop the company’s social-mobile technology for events.
Since 2010, CrowdCompass has been supplying event organizers with one of the easiest and affordable ways on the market to put all the information about their events on all major mobile devices. The CrowdCompass solution helps improve attendee experience, drive additional revenue, and reduce printing costs.
They apps can be branded for each specific event, and are entirely native to each device platform. The platform has already been used by some of the largest conferences in the US; including New York ComicCon, and the annual meetings of The American Society of Anesthesiologists and Lions Clubs International.
CrowdCompass has entered a $264.4 billion per year market with a solid business model, with solid potential for growth:
