Dukas Linden PR Expands into Asia, Continental Europe, and the U.K.

Dukas Linden PR was founded in 2002, and is headquartered in New York City with an additional office in Los Angeles. They recently announced expansion into foreign markets including Asia, the U.K., and continental Europe by signing an exclusive partnership with MHP Communications. MHP is one of the U.K.’s 10 largest PR agencies and has offices in London, Sydney, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Frankfurt.

DLPR will act as MHP’s exclusive representatives in the U.S. and MHP as DLPR’s exclusive representatives in their locations for both professional services and financial PR. Both agencies are fully integrated with communication services and PR, offering specialty to work with financial and asset management firms.

Spot Digital acquired by Threepipe

Spot Digital, a London-based SEO agency employing 12 people, was recently acquired by Threepipe, a digital marketing and PR agency also based in London. Spot’s founder, Tony Thomas receives shares in the combined entity and joins the Board alongside Threepipe’s co-founder Jim Hawker, and Farhad Koodoruth. Koodoruth founded Blowfish Digital, which Threepipe acquired in 2013. The other co-founder of Threepipe, Eddie May has just launched a creative communications agency in Hanover.

All employees and execs will combine in Threepipe’s location, and Spot as a brand will slowly be put in the background. Threepipe and Spot Digital have combined efforts working on mutual clients several times over the last year.

FleishmanHillard Advances Their DC Leadership Team

Both Kris Balderston and Robert Hoopes received advances among the leadership at FleishmanHillard.

Balderston becomes President, Global Public Affairs and Strategic Engagement in the DC office and will lead global public affairs efforts as he also searches for and builds collaboration opportunities for their clients with specific outside partners. He has been with FH in DC since early 2013 as the General Manager. Before FH, he served under Secretary of State Clinton, also as first Legislative Director and Deputy Chief of Staff for her when she was a Senator for New York. Before that, he worked as Deputy Secretary of the Cabinet and the Deputy Assistant to the President for President Bill Clinton.

Hoopes will continue as President of VOX Global and a member of FH’s Global Cabinet as he takes on the new job of General Manager of FH’s DC office. He’s charged with the overall growth and management of the DC office overseeing the business operations of two highly successful DC brands in public relations and public affairs. He joined FH in 2007 when they acquired Hoopes Strategies. He has 25 or more years of experience in electoral politics with his first presidential-level campaign work beginning in 1987.
