The 2013 Global Public Relations Summit Announced for Next November

The Holmes Group has just announced that the second edition of the two-days Global Public Relations Summit will take place on November 12 and 13, 2013 at the St Regis Bal Harbour hotel in Miami. The central theme will be “Global Reputations and Local Relationships”, presenting various ways in which organizations can effectively balance corporate image, vision and purpose on a global scale with the need to engage with stakeholders locally and on a personal level.

A half-day Independent Public Relations Firm Forum debating issues faced by small and midsize agencies will precede this new edition of the summit as well. Also, on the evening of the last day the Global SABRE Awards dinner will take place. This event honors the best campaigns from America, Asia-Pacific and EMEA of the SABRE competition and will be followed by an optional half-day of case studies from the winning campaigns on the next morning.

“The first Global Public Relations Summit was a great success,” says Holmes Report founder and editor Paul Holmes. “Despite the impact of Hurricane Sandy, we were able to attract more than 300 industry leaders and provide them with compelling content focused on the key issues shaping our profession. More than 80 percent of attendees indicated they were likely to attend again, so we are confident that the second Summit will engage an even more senior, even more international audience.”

In the next few weeks the speakers, partners and panelist will be announced, and an official website is set to be launched before the end of 2012.

Think global, act local is one of the most important lines in marketing. Even if it sounds simple in theory, practice shows that it is an important and challenging task for many public relations practitioners. The second edition of the Global Public Relations summit seems to be an interesting one, and, depending on partners, speakers and panelists and the information presented, a useful event for PR professionals.
