The Government of India, via its Ministry of Shipping is seeking a full-service media and PR firm to promote India as an important maritime nation and to attract global investments in the maritime sector. The PR agency will promote and organize a global investment summit, Maritime India Summit, 2016 (MIS-2016) in February 2016.
The summit, to be held over three days, will provide a platform for meaningful interaction through Business to Business & Government to Business meetings, CEO Meet, special sessions focused on investment opportunities in India in ship building, ship repair, ship recycling, dredger manufacturing, setting up of new ports and capacity augmentation of existing ports, development of inland waterways for cargo and passenger transportation, coastal and cruise shipping, passenger ferry services, maritime cluster development and other services relating to the maritime sector as well as investment opportunities in the Maritime States of India. The proposed event also, includes 6 (Six) Domestic and 4 (Four) International Road shows before the Summit to promote the event and invite investors across the globe.
Public Relations activities will include the organization of press conferences, preparation and distribution of press releases, press reports, press kit and coordination with print and electronic media during the domestic and international road shows and other promotional events about the show. They seek – and expect – Press coverage for each of the road shows in national and local editions of newspapers, as well as media coverage in all of the major English language media.
The chosen public relations company will also brief the media on the event, as well as measure the effectiveness of the communications work being undertaken.
The chosen agency will design and develop visual imagery, including logos and marketing materials. Manage PR & media activities around domestic and international road shows in consultation with Ministry of Shipping. Maximize publicity for the summit in local, national and international media. Design separate promotional website for the MIS and the exhibition in accordance with the envisioned Summit and other social media platforms – Twitter and Linkedin.
Additional responsibilities will also include to Design collaterals, brochures, delegation kits, dockets for events, conferences, seminars planned during the summit, roadshows planned before the summit and any activity planned for the promotion of Sagarmala project, as well as design and print marketing collaterals such as sector and sub-sector brochures, event brochure, shelf of projects, etc.
The assignment will be for an estimated period of 7 months.
