At the Effie organization’s annual awards ceremony, Ogilvy & Mather (O&M) was named the most effective agency in North America and won 18 awards. In addition to receiving five Gold, eight Silver and five Bronze distinctions, Ogilvy client, IBM, was recognized as the most effective brand and second most effective advertiser.
O&M and IBM won four Effies each for their acclaimed Smarter Planet and IBM Watson campaigns. O&M Chicago received silver Effies for it’s CDW’s People That Get IT and Truvia campaigns. O&M Chicago also garnered Gold for Truvia Sweetness Stories. O&M New York won silver for UPS We Love Logistics. O&M Toronto received two Bronze Effies for Unilever’s Dove brand’s Singing’ In The Rain. A Bronze Effie was also awarded to O&M New York for IKEA’s The Life Improvement Store and to O&M Atlanta for Zoosk Online Dating. Additionally, IKEA The Life Improvement Store was awarded Gold at the Shopper Marketing Effie Awards. Neo@Ogilvy, O&M’s global media agency, contributed to much of the agency’s success as with it’s Bronze award for Lenovo.
