End of over 49 – PAK 231/9
Misbah SIX he goes over the half century then he adds one
End of over 48 – PAK 224/9
And just then Misbah hits two FOURS - a bit little a bit late
To win Pakistan would have to have an effort of divine magnitude
No one is moving from their seats – but it seems clear now India has stifled the best efforts of Pakistan.

40.3 No Run 40.2 One added 40.1 Khan to S Afridi ONE
End of over 40 – PAK 177/6 Afridi adds one more – Pakistan now needs that Epic performance – a RR of over 8 is needed
Ruled a bounce, Afridi gets one and is still up

PAK 106/4 in 26 overs India is strangling Pakistan
Sing Gets Younus Khan This is devastating - Khan walks off – Pakistan has to be reeling from this
PAK 106/3 in 25 overs half way there and Pakistan is off by almost a half century at this juncture

PAK 103/3 in 24 overs Misbah-ul-Haq walks out at number 5, replacing Shafiq
Shafiq is OUT! Pakistan has lost another! PAK 103/3 he was bowled!
End of over 23 – PAK 100/2 I do not think Pakistan could find a way to make this a more boring chase so far – the tale of the numbers are - Cur RR: 4.35 Req RR:5.96 – not getting there

End of over 6 – PAK 28/0 Pakistan has to do better than this
End of over 5 – PAK 28/0 The run rate has dropped down much faster than when Tendulkar was smoking hot for India. RR now at just above 5

Raina opens 46 with another FOUR!
IND 221/6 after 45 – Every run now being cheered, the crowd wants it
44.4 Singh with a bit FOUR!
IND 213/6 in 44 overs Pakistan has to be ecstatic at this point, after 6 dropped balls they are still in this big time – for India? After a blazing start, the team must be in shock at their current situation – The Castrol index now has Pakistan up 15 points
End of over 43 IND 207/6
Dhoni is OUT! End of over 42 IND 205/6 another wicket down after the review
End of over 41 – IND 203/5 India appears to be a bit out of gas at the moment. What was a sure 300 run pace looks more like 250 now. If this holds true, Pakistan may win big rather than taking it on the chin here.
End of over 40 – IND 200/5
IND 195/5 in 39 overs Tendulkar left with decent numbers, but he cannot be satisfied with the end of this inning. 85 Runs 115, 11 FOURS, No Sixes

End of over 31 – IND 170/4 – Tendulkar is 3/4th there for the Century now
We are so sorry for being late! Traffic here in Germany was against us, we will catch you up immediately! WOW – Pakistan versus India and a traffic jam.
Today a cricket contest of monumental proportions takes place, the second semi-final ICC World Cup match between Pakistan and India. If yesterday’s Sri Lanka vs New Zealand contest can be used as a gauge, this one will be epic. Sachin Tendulkar, Shoaib Akhtar, Younis Khan, MS Dhoni rivalries, legends, dignitaries, today at Punjab Cricket Association Stadium its time for legend to meet destiny.
Stick with us for the momentous match live updates, or check out the live streams we provide below. This is the one some waited their whole life for.
Be There Or Be Square
For an idea of the import of this cricket match, consider this. Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani will be in attendance today, on the direct invitation of his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh. As the saying goes, “the irony and tension of this match is so thick, one can cut it with a knife.” Well, even thicker than this actually. This is the first home head-to-head match between the two clubs since July 2008. Pakistan beat India by eight wickets in Karachi in the Asia Cup on that occasion. In case all this fails to quantify Pakistan versus India for you, how about Pakistan declaring a half day holiday nationwide for the game?
These teams have only met four times in nine previous World Cups too. India won all four, and the legend himself, Sachin Tendulkar, played in all four. Here we are at number five. The list of iconic incidents goes on, and on, and on. Records that can be broken, more heroes made, old heroes vindicated, even wrongs made right – this cricket match is one heck of a lot more than just a cricket match – and then too – cricket is enough.
As I have said in every other match I have covered, endless analysis is needless – this game is about heart, destiny, it’s cosmic. Tendulkar; “Never bet against legend.” The fire of Pakistan, the heart – NEVER bet against heart. A dilemma.
Hundreds of thousands of cricket fans have come here during this tournament, many taking the time to comment – root for their team – say their peace. India and Pakistan being the most prevalent, the most virulent, and the most kind too. I said I would wait until now to offer my prediction.
Of all the games I have covered (miraculously) Sri Lanka narrowly proved me 100 percent correct so far. Today it is a bit tougher to predict though, not because the method is being tested, but because of the great players on each side – Homeric figures like Sachin Tendulkar. NEVER bet against legend, but when heart, passion, and destiny meet legend? Then what?
As Promised – Winners and Losers
The image at the top of this post predicts this match with champion Younis Khan slightly in front of the MAN himself, just slightly – like the match should be. Pakistan will win this on sheer will of determination. And like any true cricket fan, either team losing here seems like an injustice.
Below you will find those streams we always leave, along with the suggested starters for today. We hope you all enjoy this one, and let us know your thoughts during and after the match.
