University of New Hampshire Issues Media Buying RFP

The University System of New Hampshire (hereafter referred to as USNH or Owner) representing UNH Communications and Public Affairs (UNH CPA), is requesting proposals from media buying agencies to assist with research, media planning, and media buying for advertising and promoting the University of New Hampshire locally and nationally.

Background:

Founded in 1866, the University of New Hampshire is New Hampshire’s public research university. It provides comprehensive, high-quality undergraduate programs and graduate programs of distinction. UNH’s primary purpose is learning—students collaborating with faculty in teaching, research, creative expression, and service. It has a national and international agenda and holds land-grant, sea-grant, and space-grant charters. UNH serves the state through continuing education, cooperative extension, cultural outreach, economic development activities and applied research from the main campus in Durham, a college in Manchester and the UNH School of Law in Concord.

UNH’s main campus in Durham offers 200-degree programs; has 13,000 undergraduates, 2,000 graduate students and over 1,000 teaching and research faculty. It is a residential campus in a classic, New England college town located sixty miles north of Boston.

UNH Manchester is a non-residential urban campus located in New Hampshire’s largest city. It offers 33-degree programs with an emphasis on experiential learning. UNH Manchester has 1,000 students and a student to faculty ratio of 11:1.

UNH School of Law is located in the state’s capital, Concord. It’s in the top 100 of US News &World Report’s rated law schools, and its intellectual property program is among the top 10 in the country. UNH School of Law offers JD, LLM, master’s and diploma programs and is ABA accredited.

 

Scope of Work:

UNH CPA is requesting proposals from media buying agencies to assist with research, media planning, and media buying for advertising and promoting the University of New Hampshire locally and nationally. It is expected that the selected firm will have the experience and ability to provide comprehensive media planning services from traditional (broadcast, out of the home, etc.) as well as new media and digital marketing. CPA looking for one agency that can provide media buying services of any type, not firms that offer one single media channel.

The scope of services required will include at a minimum, the following:

  • Understand the scope of our annual budget, target audiences, and provide expertise on the best media channels to create awareness of the UNH brand
  • Create comprehensive media recommendations
  • Manage media buys
  • Track and analyze media effectiveness, providing impressions, confirmation of placement
