Weber Shandwick Chosen by Samsung

Samsung has selected Weber Shandwick as their public relations agency. The well-known electronics company has chosen the PR firm to handle public relations tasks for their North American Headquarters, the Global Visual Display Division and US Consumer Electronics Divisions.

Samsung is a global leader in the areas of telecommunications, semiconductors, digital convergence technologies and digital media. The company has a well-known brand, but has plans to continue their publicity campaign. They’ve hired Weber Shandwick to take over this area for their North American sites and expect big things of the PR company.

“Weber Shandwick and Current Lifestyle Marketing are highly respected agencies known for their creativity and flawless execution. We believe they will provide us with the best opportunity to address the evolving needs of the organization and align communications across Samsung`s business units in Korea, our regional headquarters and our US operations.” said David Steel, senior vice president of Samsung North American Headquarters marketing.

Weber Shandwick will be working on a number of strategies for Samsung’s North American division including their sports and sponsorships programs, as well as their online media promotions. In addition, Weber Shandwick will also be responsible for promoting a number of the Samsung products both locally and globally, including Blu-ray players, Home Theater systems, and HDTVs. They will also provide strategic counsel for the electronics company.

Other agencies who have worked work with Samsung worldwide include Lewis PR, Ruder-Finn, Fleishman-Hillard, Weber-Shandwick as well as a number of MDC Partners companies, led by Allison & Partners.
