The global tech platform for those buying advertising, The Trade Desk, just signed 5WPR as their agency of record to increase brand awareness among buyers. Trade Desk was founded in 2009 by Jeff Green (CEO) and Dave Pickles (Chief Tech Officer) with the mission to change how advertising is bought and sold. They are headquartered in Ventura, California, but has multiple offices across the US, Asia, and Europe. Fortune placed them at #11 on their 100 Best Medium Workplaces and said the strong company culture is a major part of their success.
Their platform is cloud-based and a self-service model allowing those wishing to buy ads to manage, optimize, and create fuller data-driven digital ad campaigns in social, audio, video, display, and native on all types of digital devices. Their platform makes it easier for customers to work with publisher partners for custom development. During the past year, they’ve added 200 employees to their company globally. They also have a 95+% retention rate of their customers for at least 15 quarters to date.
The Trade Desk was recently named one of OnMedia’s “35 [Private Companies] to Watch.” In the last three months, there have been nearly 20 top-tier placed articles about the company or with one of their senior leadership members providing expertise.
5WPR, one of the top 15 independent PR firms in the US, has been working with The Trade Desk for the past three months and during that time have brought the client and key influencers and advertising industry decision makers to increase awareness with consumers and their target market. Jeff Green has been featured exclusively in Recode, Entrepreneur, Business Insider, Cheddar TV, and CNBC. In addition to Jeff Green’s appearances, major announcements have been brought to press through 5WPR’s efforts. These include a partnership with White Ops in launching the Connected TV products to fight ad fraud. These reports made their way into Adweek, AdExchanger, MediaPost, and more.
And 5WPR’s three months of magic didn’t end there. They also received coverage about The Trade Desk’s IR initiatives, IPO anniversary, company earnings calls, and investor meeting. These found their way into tier-1 media sources including “Mornings with Maria” on Fox Business, Business Insider, and Investor’s Business Daily.
5WPR’s Founder and CEO, Ronn Torossian, said: “We’re thrilled to be selected as The Trade Desk’s AOR. We’re looking forward to leveraging its tenure and great accomplishments in the media industry, to tell its story and create awareness of the brand across multiple markets. Partnering with The Trade Desk is a great win for 5W, as we continue to expand our capabilities and client roster in the growing advertising and marketing tech verticals.”
5WPR is not new to representing firms specializing in adtech, marketing tech, and agency practice. Some other firms they work with in this sector include Lippincott, Impact Radius, Zeta Global, and former Apple CEO – John Sculley. But they have been expanding that area of their practice. They are clearly doing great work for The Trade Desk and others.
