Weber Shandwick has been selected by Brammo, the manufacturer of electric motorcycles, as their PR agency. The public relations firm will be handling the launch of Brammo’s first plug-in, electric motorcycle, the Enertia. The new eco-friendly motorcycle will be launched in July, first being made available at Best Buy in Portland.
The Enertia is designed to be used by commuters within urban areas. It can travel up to 45 miles on one charge, a charge being three hours of being plugged in. It costs around one penny for every mile traveled to run this bike and it could change the way people get to work, drastically reducing pollution. Though it is electric, you’d never know it by the way this bike runs. It can reach speeds of over 50 miles an hour, ensuring the rider gets to work on time.
“The Brammo team is really excited about this new partnership,” said Brammo CEO Craig Bramscher. “We have a great story to tell, and Weber Shandwick’s experience in consumer cleantech and strong media contacts worldwide will be of great help.”
Brammo selected Weber Shandwich as their agency due to the company’s expertise in the areas of clean technology and transport. The PR firm is also experienced in consumer marketing and is looking forward to helping the green motorcycle become a popular consumer product.
“Weber Shandwick looks to work with the most innovative leaders in sustainable technology, and we look forward to partnering with Brammo to build awareness and drive sales of its plug-in motorcycles,” says William Brent, senior vice president of Weber Shandwick.
