The 2011 book, “Start-up Nation: The Story of Israel’s Economic Miracle” took the technology world by storm as it “addresses the trillion dollar question: How is it that Israel– a country of 7.1 million, only 60 years old, surrounded by enemies, in a constant state of war since its founding, with no natural resources– produces more start-up companies than large, peaceful, and stable nations like Japan, China, India, Korea, Canada and the UK?” And indeed, the book discussed the resilience, aggressiveness and risk-taking of Israeli companies as they grow and succeed in worldwide markets.
The Israeli Public Relations market grows, with major players including Edelman, and others maintaining thriving offices in the State of Israel. And worldwide, Israeli tech companies hire Public Relations Agencies to serve their needs. (Although the New York Times chronicled the failure of the first electric car, founded by an Israeli company on its front page today).
And Ronn Torossian who prior to founding 5WPR worked in communications for the Israeli Government is surely someone in touch with the growth of the Israeli technology field. As such, Star Farm Ventures, a New York City based venture-capital fund which helps Israeli star-up companies flourish in the American market recently announced a partnership with 5WPR.
Star Farm Ventures has a NY collaborative work enviornment where their funded companies have office space. Companies in their portfolio include Bizzabo, Askem and
Equala, a “social radio app where you can play your friends music with the touch of a button.” The companies will work together to build the marketing & PR strategies of Star Farm companies.
