Trevelino/Keller: PR Company Profile

Agency of choice is the aim of Trevelino/Keller Communications Group and after generating more than 1 trillion media impressions, winning 100 PR, social and creative awards, and losing just one staff member to another agency since 2003, who’s one to argue with these statistics?

Veteran PR and marketing experts Dean Trevelino and Genna Keller founded their firm in Atlanta, Georgia, 17 years ago with the intent of starting a national boutique agency in which they could leverage their combined expertise to become the agency of choice for Southeast-based companies that have national or international footprints. The pair had worked together since the 1990s, first at Shandwick International before its merger with the Weber Group and then Ogilvy & Mather.

Since its start in 2003, Trevelino/Keller has steadily grown. According to the 2020 O’Dwyer’s PR Rankings, the firm ranked number one in healthcare in Atlanta. Other rankings included third in technology, first in lifestyle, second in food and beverage, and second in financial services. These four, plus healthcare, placed the agency in the top three in five of its core practice areas. The results also shot the agency up in national rankings as Atlanta’s fastest-growing firm.

Other 2020 O’Dwyer rankings gave the agency second in automotive/transportation, first in industrial, second in professional service, second in sports, and second in travel/hospitality. All these accolades led to Trevelino/Keller also being recognized as one of the “Best and Brightest Firms” in Atlanta, according to a June 2029 Cision PR Newswire.

Specialties

Trevelino/Keller’s specialties fall into five areas. They are public relations, social media engagement, digital marketing, demand generation, and creative services. The firm serves the government, technology, health, environment, food and beverage, lifestyle, financial services, and franchising sectors.

Groovy Studios

To support its creative services arm, the firm also launched Groovy Studios. It was born in response to a growing number of clients asking for a broad range of creative options while having the same values and level of responsibility as the agency. Groovy Studios’ services complement the agency and cover a broad area ranging from logo design, CS animation, trade show presence, SEO, display advertising, microsites, blog sites, brand identity packages, and a list of many other things.

Clients

Some of the Trevelino/Keller’s recognizable clients include Nathan’s Hot Dogs, Paris Baguette Boulangerie, Verizon Wireless, Ritz Camera and Image, the College Football Hall of Fame, Paymetric, SOC Telemed, and United Healthcare.

Other Initiatives

So deep was their conviction about boutique agencies that Trevelino and Keller founded the Atlas Alliance in 2005. Their vision of the alliance was that it would be a federation of agencies serving clients who trusted the boutique environment and culture. The result was an association whose members include UK-based The Word Shop, Dubai-based Active PR, Atlanta-based Lanza Group, Singapore-based Mileage Communications, and Los Angeles-based Platform Media Group.

Ideas and innovation aren’t a rarity between Trevelino and Keller. A year later, in 2006, the duo formed the Start-Up Council, a pro-bono program intended to help early-stage companies with counseling, contacts, and community.

Then in 2010, they launched Wheelhouse. The intent of this in-house initiative was to be the firm’s social marketing brand. Its focus is on delivering next-generation online solutions. Stay tuned for what’s next!
