City of Lathrop Parks Issues Digital Media RFP

The City of Lathrop Parks and Recreation Department produces an activity guide three times per year (Winter, Fall, Summer), activity posters, event banners, handouts and various other publications.

The Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a digital media company to assist in the creation of all Parks and Recreation Publications. This includes the brand marketing, activity guide, monthly posters, handouts, marketing materials and social media platforms.

Background:

The City of Lathrop Parks and Recreation Department interprets and makes policy recommendations regarding community recreation programs to public officials and ensures that recreation programs receive adequate financial and community support. Parks and Recreation Commissioners are required to file an annual Statement of Economic Interests with the City Clerk. The City of Lathrop Parks and Recreation Department produces an activity guide three times per year (Winter, Fall, Summer), activity posters, event banners, handouts and various other publications.

Duties and responsibilities.

The parks and recreation commission shall have the following duties and responsibilities:

  1. To act in an advisory capacity to the city council in all matters pertaining to recreation and parks;
  2. Assist in the development of park amenity and field maintenance standards;
  3. Be an advocate for recreational space to meet the current and future needs of the community;
  4. Review of plans for proposed park and recreation facilities to ensure they meet the defined standard;
  5. Foster a culture of community partnership with businesses and local organizations;
  6. Participate in a general overview and evaluation of recreation programming to assist with community needs assessment;
  7. Participate in an annual park and recreation facility tour to assist in identifying areas for improvement;
  8. Annual overview and evaluation of parks and recreation policies, budget, and proposed fees;
  9. Be an active participant and supporter of community special events;

The City of Lathrop is seeking bids from qualified professionals to provide Digital Media services for the Lathrop Parks and Recreation Department. This will include:
