Background:
The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa [hereinafter referred to as “ICASA”] is the regulator of telecommunications and the broadcasting sectors.
Scope of Work:
The campaign must be interactive, exciting, bring the ICASA brand alive and must be integrated to include:
- Events in core focused areas: The service provider is required to conceptualize, plan and manage the execution of the following events across the country:
o ICASA Townhall – introduction to ICASA #Regulatinginthepublicinterest followed by activations as stated below – 150 stakeholders to be invited to ICASA Townhalls
o 2 activations in each province at shopping malls – in areas where there’s only one mall shopping mall there should be an extended activation
o Partner with a community radio station to do live broadcast from the Townhalls in select provinces
- Print advertising
o Generic print advertising supported by consumer education content
o Print advertisements to promote Townhall events as well as mall activations
o Design and prepare artwork for placement in print publications in line with consumer education (placement excluded)
- Radio advertising
o Generic consumer education advertising
o Advertisements to promote Townhall events as well mall activations
o Script and recording of ads in all official languages (placement excluded)
o Design a consumer education focused competition that will encourage listeners to the station and answer questions related to ICASA to win a prize (in each province depending on radio medium)
