Indian Tourism Needs Help In Russia, Brazil & Spain

The Indian Ministry of Tourism (MoT) is seeking  a marketing and public relations agency to generate awareness about the tourism products and destinations of India, to promote India as a preferred tourist destination in the source markets overseas and to increase India’s share of the global tourism market.  This particular initiative is focused on targeting emerging markets, which are defined as “Russia, Brazil, Spain, South Korea, Thailand and Argentina.”

As such, the Indian government seeks Tourism representatives in each of the following regions:

The selected winner will have experience in advertising, marketing and public relations and skills will include the “ability to monitor trends in the tour and travel industry and prepare a trend report of the country where they are operating”,  “Assist in preparation and execution of select trade and consumer shows”, assist in any media campaigns, branding and promotional activities, organize regular media trips to India, including as described “press familiarization tours, including story placement and story ideas and ensure adequate coverage in trade and consumer publications in their area.”

Other key focuses of the assignment include the “Preparation of both annual and quarterly PR plans, periodic performance reports and status reports,” “issue regular press releases”, and to “Provide press clipping services.”
