Purpose:
The purpose of this RFP is to enter into a contract to provide: Integrated marketing services for the Utah Office of Tourism in France.
Scope of Work:
Objectives: The contractor shall assist the UOT in accomplishing the following objectives as determined by the UOT, Board of Tourism Development and appropriate research:
- Bring visitors to the state through the promotion of Utah travel destinations and experiences.
- Increase visitor spending and length of stay.
- Increase the number of international visitors from France to Utah.
- Leverage internal and external partners and resources.
- Improve the quality of life for Utah citizens by job creation and tax burden relief.
- Position our brand to set the state apart and give us a competitive advantage as a destination.
- Establish and provide best practices in client services, technology, information and marketing deliver.
Travel Trade:
Travel Trade services that could be required from the Contractor may include:
- Creation of travel trade promotion plan and timeline.
- Preparation and distribution of resource guides.
- E-mail blasts listing details from UOT partners to travel trade businesses.
- Fielding and responding to trade inquiries.
- Trade training for the UOT and its partners.
- Provide trade contact lists.
- Implement a program of trade outreach.
- Plan and assist with events, trade shows, and tours.
- Work with Brand USA and Visit USA on local opportunities.
- Implement a visiting company program and help organize familiarization (FAM) trips.
- Develop relationships with airlines to acquire tickets for FAMs. Procure a minimum of 6 complimentary airline tickets annually.
- Develop and lead one in-market sales mission for UOT/In-state partners annually
- Report monthly on trade outreach effectiveness.
- Field travel trade requests: collateral fulfillment, email assistance, phone assistance.
- Maintain supply as well as drive demand for Utah collateral, keep running inventory.
Public Relations services that could be required from the Contractor may include:
- Creation of PR Plan and timeline.
- Implementation of press release programs.
- Press Kit updates.
- Preparation and distribution of resource guides.
- E-mail blasts listing the top deals from UOT partners to publications and websites.
- Fielding and responding to media inquiries.
- PR training for the UOT and its partners.
- Provide updates to editors/writers of travel guidebooks.
- Provide media contact lists.
- Maintain a library of Utah photos, DVDs, and video files.
- Implement a program of media outreach.
- Plan and assist with events and media tours.
- Implement a visiting journalist program and help organize familiarization (FAM) trips.
- Report monthly on media outreach effectiveness.
Knowledge of Utah as a Travel Destination:
The Utah Office of Tourism requires that our in-market representative must possess a strong knowledge of our state as a travel/tourism destination in order to provide unique cultural experiences to the tourism professionals in market.
