Ogilvy Public Relations Names Kevin Slagle SVP

Ogilvy Public Relations (Ogilvy PR) has announced having hired Kevin Slagle as senior vice president of corporate communications.  According to the news, Slagel will council clients from offices in Sacramento, extending his expertise across the corporate, government and non-profit sectors.

Slagle, whose 17 years of PR management experience, formerly headed up strategic efforts for a variety of clients, from stakeholder and public education, to corporate communications, and on to grassroots outreaches and community relations, is expert in media and crisis communications. Slagle has also served clients in industries ranging from mining and energy, to land use and commercial development. Michael Law, President, Ogilvy & Mather West, had this to say about Slagle’s appointment:

Prior to this position, Slagle was a principal partner with Capitol Public Affairs, a Sacramento firm, where he specialized in public policy related realms, among others. Slagle’s career began at Porter Novelli, where he was most recently a senior VP. He has also held key positions at Edelman, and Teichert Aggregates.  Slagle said of his appointment; “I’m excited join a team of experts to address policy challenges facing clients in the current volatile climate seen throughout California and the West.”

Slagle has served local planning boards like the Sacramento Tree Foundation, Sacramento County Community Planning Advisory Council, Public Relations Society of America and several local youth sports groups as well. He earned his BA in Public Relations from Brigham Young University. According to the release from PR Newswire.
