Bell Pottinger Makes Twitter Account Private
Want to follow or talk to England’s PR consultancy, Bell Pottinger? Well, unlike most PR firms, now you have to get approval to do so, at least if you try to reach out to them on Twitter. Because they just set their account to private. That’s what some South Africans recently discovered anyway. The consultancy represents clients all around the world, including the Guptas in their South African political dealings with their “white monopoly capital.”
The decision came after months of ugly and somewhat inflammatory tweets coming out of South Africa every time Bell Pottinger posted anything on their Twitter account. The Gupta account is only one of many public affairs and lobbying type clients of the firm that has represented others including the Pentagon, the CIA, Investec (a South African Bank), and Virgin Media.
