North Carolina Seeks Marketing Partner To Drive International Visitors

The Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina has issued a request for proposal (RFP) for a marketing firm focused on International markets – including Canada, the UK & German-speaking Europe for a campaign to attract more tourism to their region. They seek a company able to help with:  travel trade access, sales activities and promotions, inquiry management, advertising placement, tour development, public relations, consulting services and marketing expansion efforts and performance measurement metrics to assess the marketing approach performance.

Marketing responsibilities include to create and print comprehensive travel information as needed in the specific region; coordinate and participate in trade and/or consumer shows as specified; Identify and develop co-operative marketing and promotional opportunities that build awareness of North Carolina as a vacation destination; The chosen vendor must be versed in public relations, and is tasked with tracking media in country related to travel and tourism in North Carolina;  to assemble and update press kits for in-country journalists and travel writers; send press releases and proactive targeted pitches on a regular basis to travel writers of key publications from national and regional press, and also digital influencers and bloggers with appropriate audiences/reach; and to encourage travel writers and digital influences to visit North Carolina on individual press trips thought the year.
