Award-winning author Shel Horowitz – “The Transformpreneur”(sm) was gracious enough to share his thoughts on great marketing and public relations books. He’s a noted and best selling-author well respected in the Public Relations industry.
Horowitz said, “Discovering Jeffrey Lant’s Cash Copy back in the 1980s was my introduction to client-centered copy–something I’ve used in my own marketing practice and written about extensively.”
Horowitz continued to praise, The Code of the Extraordinary Mind, by Vishen Lakhiani which he said, “helps rewire your brain to overcome obstacles and achieve any goal, in a gentle-loving way with no guilt or shame around messing up. I used this kind of rewiring a few years ago in reshaping the entire direction of my business toward going beyond sustainability (keeping things as they are) to regenerativity (making things better).”
Then he shared, “My favorite marketing book didn’t exist so I had to write it. My 10th book, Guerrilla Marketing to Heal the World (endorsed by Seth Godin, Chicken Soup’s Jack Canfield and many others) shows businesses that marketing their “sustainability” (status quo) is not enough. The next frontier of marketing is “regenerativity” (making things better). The book shows how to develop and market profitable products/services that turn hunger/poverty into abundance, war into peace, and catastrophic climate change into planetary balance. Its strategies would also apply to a business trying to market solutions to a pandemic like COVID.
As a green/social entrepreneurship profitability consultant, speaker, and author of Guerrilla Marketing to Heal the World (endorsed by Seth Godin, Chicken Soup’s Jack Canfield…)–I take businesses beyond mere “sustainability” (status quo) to “regenerativity” (improving): I help develop and market profitable products/services that turn hunger/poverty into abundance, war into peace, and catastrophic climate change into planetary balance.”
Wow – some great books to go get. Thank you Shel Horowitz.
