The University of Northern Iowa extends an invitation to qualified providers with the necessary resources and experience to submit proposals to assist in developing original online content for the University of Northern Iowa’s College of Business Administration’s website and social media channels.
Background:
The University of Northern Iowa, located in Cedar Falls, Iowa was founded in 1876. Today, the campus covers 940 acres and consists of five colleges: Business Administration; Education; Social and Behavioral Sciences; Humanities Arts and Sciences; and Graduate College. Approximately 12,000 undergraduate and graduate students are currently enrolled.
Scope of Work:
Storytelling is the key ingredient to a successful 21st century marketing plan. In order for UNIBusiness (and the University of Northern Iowa) to compete with other higher education institutions, it’s crucial that we increase our organic online presence. Organic, meaning content found through Google searches and social media engagement, can be more effective in telling our story and is more authentic to a generation who is blind to traditional advertising. In response to this need, the University is seeking to hire a marketing consultant specializing in content development to serve our marketing and public relations needs in conceptualizing and developing original content that is optimized for online and mobile distribution.
The University makes no guarantee as to the number and size of projects that may be assigned as a result of this RFP and retains the option to use in-house resources for all or part of any project.
Expectations of the Provider:
- The Provider will be responsible for sourcing topics, conducting interviews, developing original and optimized website content and stories for printed publications. The Provider will also be asked to develop and distribute completed stories to various members of the press.
- Weekly phone meetings will be scheduled with the Provider and UNIBusiness Marketing Manager.
- Content will be delivered and managed through a content management system that is managed by the College of Business Administration.
