Intent on pushing the envelope of vehicle-driver interconnect, Volvo’s long-term goal is to intertwine cloud services for a new age of technology driven automobiles. Dean Shaw, vice president of Corporate Communications for Volvo Cars, offered this via WE’s press:
“We’re extremely happy to have Waggener Edstrom on board as our partner for this critical and exciting time in Volvo’s history. Their level of expertise in the tech, auto and luxury spaces is unparalleled, making them a natural fit for Volvo as we blaze new trails for design, sustainability, safety and driver experience.”
In recent independent research from WE, the firm looked at public policy as it applies to cars becoming more connected. Then, hosted events called “Connect Car” were held in San Francisco and Los Angeles so that thought leaders in the arena of auto-tech and electronics could brainstorm. The video below shows a bit of the information gleaned from these events.
Finally, the Volvo account will reportedly be handled by Waggener Edstrom’s lifestyle team based in New York City, which is led by SVP Julie Levinthal.
The agency previously worked with Ruder-Finn’s New York office for a number of years.
