Melissa Orozco, Founder & Creative Director
A decade ago, Orozco began her PR career in New York City, where she cut her teeth working with notable lifestyle brands like Patrón Silver Tequila, St. Regis Resorts, and Perrier Water. In 2008, Yulu PR’s founder moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, the global epicenter for social innovation.
Noteworthy milestones in Orozco’s career include: listing on the Marketing Magazine’s 30 under 30 marketing proslist; serving as the chair of communications at Urban Land institute of BC, a not-for-profit education and research entity that’s focused on responsible land use to foster a total environment. At the same time, Orozco’s role behind campaigns like F*ck Cancer, which earned Yulu PR the 2012 International Stevie Award in the Best Global Social Good PR Campaign category. She’s also credited for launching the World Housing Campaign, where exceptional PR practices for the first home gifting model resulted in more than 2,000 homes for less fortunate families in Cambodia, and more than 120 media articles.
Charlotte Gilmour, Director Environmental Communications
As an award-winning storyteller and PR director with more than 15 years of experience, Gilmour is a passionate environmentalist. Having worked with noteworthy brands in novel areas like carbon offsetting, renewable energy, conservation and reforestation, and carbon capture, the PR director joined Yulu in 2017. Following her experience with the Carbon Engineering campaign, which sought to raise awareness and address climate change issues, the director of environmental communications brought a wealth of experience and insight. Worth noting, the Carbon Engineering Campaign won two PR awards: the PR Daily Award and the Gold Stevie Award.
Jenna Kuchinsky, Senior Operations Manager
Kuchinsky cut her teeth in the PR space working for non-profit organizations in Vancouver, where she was tasked with coordinating fundraising activities and planning events. Having graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Kuchinsky is tasked with the financial, administrative and human resources needs within Yulu PR’s office.
