Edelman Hired Veteran Jane Fields As UAE Chief

Everything PR News from Edelman told of the firm’s hiring of executive Jane Fields as general manager of the firm’s United Arab Emirates (UAE) operations. According to the release Fields is to report to Robert Holdheim, CEO of South Asia, Middle East and Africa and is based in Abu Dhabi.

Fields, a corporate communications professional with nearly two decades of experience in multiple industry disciplines, was a co-founded Oxbow Media, which specializes in multimedia communications strategies including digital, online media, and large-scale events. The new Edelman chief had this to add about her new position:

“I am hugely excited about joining Edelman. Its extraordinary leadership, infectious culture, and history in the UAE thus far have all fuelled my passion and drive to continue to provide award-winning service to the firm’s clients in the region. As a lover of multimedia communication, technophile, and someone with a passion for people, I believe there are endless possibilities for growth and I look forward to this new chapter with Edelman and our clients in the Middle East.”

Experience wise, Fields served at Ernst & Young Management Consultancy in their global Financial Services practice, prior to co-founding Oxbow. Robert Holdheim added this comment on Fields’ hiring:

“Jane’s combination of corporate and entrepreneurial experience makes her ideally suited to bring our award-winning UAE operation to the next level. This is our second-fastest growing operation globally, having gone from zero to seventy-five people in just five short years. Under Jane’s able leadership, Abu Dhabi will continue to thrive as our engine for growth across the Middle East.”

Additionally, Fields is a studied master practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), as well as a student of emotional intelligence and leadership development, among other cutting edge industry practices. Fields has worked in the US, Australia, and in the UK and she holds a degree in Business and Tourism from the University of Ulster. Fields has lived in Abu Dhabi since August 2012, where she lives with her husband.
