Florida DEO, Unique abilities Marketing and Outreach Program

Florida DEO, Unique abilities Marketing and Outreach Program

Purpose

During the first two years of operation, the marketing and outreach goal focused primarily on promotion and statewide awareness of the program. In the third year, DEO is seeking the services of a marketing and communications firm to increase the actual number of business entities that become Florida Unique Abilities Partners. Continued statewide marketing of the program through various communication forums and outreach opportunities is required as well to ensure ongoing program recognition and awareness within both the business and community levels.

Background

The State of Florida is committed to supporting its diverse business industry and population through ensuring participation by minority, women, and veteran-owned business enterprises in the economic life of the state. The State of Florida Mentor Protégé Program connects minority, women, and veteran-owned business enterprises with private corporations for business development mentoring. We strongly encourage firms doing business with the State of Florida to consider this initiative. For more information on the Mentor Protégé Program, please contact the Office of Supplier Diversity at (850) 487-0915 or osdinfo@dms.myflorida.com.
