MWWPR Announces Move
MWWPR, a New Jersey public relations firm, recently announced that it will be moving to larger spaces at 250 Broadway, between West 31st and West 32nd Streets from its current Park Avenue South location. No date for the move was announced.
Lotus Adds Wellbeing Arm
The subsidiary, Lotus Wellbeing, is the result of a partnership between Lotus and Well Intelligence which specializes in research and insight. Lotus Wellbeing will be providing strategic and marketing solutions to wellness clients. The new company will be led by Dr. Jules Ugo from Lotus and Minty Woolgar, a senior account director. Ann Hood, Well Intelligence’s CEO explained that the presence of wellbeing in business is no longer an option today.
Weber Shandwick Takes 14 Clios
Weber Shandwick had its biggest presence ever at the recent 2019 Clio Awards in New York. The prominent worldwide communications and marketing solutions agency was awarded a total of 14 Clios, including a Grand Clio for Social Media. The latter was produced in partnership with Bud Light for Philly Philly, a campaign that was focused around the Philadelphia Eagles going to and winning the Super Bowl. Not only did the Eagles win, but Bud Light bought a beer for every Philadelphian to fete the occasion. Weber Shandwick also won two gold, seven silver, and four bronze Clios.
Microsoft India Seeking New Counsel
Microsoft India, which released Edelman two years ago in favor of Genesis BcW, has asked 11 PR firms to offer proposals on why their firm could better handle PR in that country.
New Public Affairs Chair at Edelman
Aaron McLear, former managing director public affairs and crisis for Edelman’s Western region, has been tapped as their U.S. chair of public affairs. McLear, who has also been serving as an advisor in Edelman’s alliance with the Gun Safety Alliance, will be based in Edelman’s DC office.
Prior to joining Edelman, McLear worked in various capacities for the GOP, including roles as an advisor in the 2012 Presidential campaign of Mitt Romney, press secretary for Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and the Republican National Committee, and communications director for the Ohio 2004 Bush-Cheney campaign.
