Thomas Cook India has just announced the completion of a deal with TIRUN Travel Marketing that will allow them to offer a unique online-based, Royal Caribbean International certified cruise training course to their students.
Persons studying the PGDM (IB) or the Travel Professional Program-A PG Diploma in Travel & Tourism Management will be familiar with the module, which is a core part of these subjects. Thomas Cook India, which is the country’s largest travel and travel finance services company, are keen to meet the demand for a growing cruise industry in India, and see their students based at the Thomas Cook Center of Learning become certified according to Royal Caribbean International standards.
Thomas Cook India’s head of human resources and financial services, Dr. Prasanth Nair said in his announcement that:
“On this our 170th anniversary, we are delighted to partner with a renowned name like Royal Caribbean International to offer our students industry expertise and an internationally endorsed curriculum. We believe that the superior quality course will give our students in-depth knowledge of cruises and cater to needs of the industry. Thomas Cook aims to provide training to students to take up diverse and exciting careers in the Travel and Tourism Industry”

In order to do so, students at the Center of Learning study a dynamic curriculum that is tailor made for the travel industry. Thomas Cook hope that not only will the new cruise module allow their sales representatives to sell more cruise holidays, but also more students will be encouraged to embrace a career in the travel industry.
