Anchorage Alaska To Run Anti-Drug Campaign

Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium

The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC), a government agency which runs Alaska primary care facilities is soliciting detailed proposals from a social media company able to:

Develop and implement a positive social norms campaign that creates a unified message to promote drug-free lifestyles, and decrease the social acceptability of doing drugs among Alaska Native people.

Substance abuse in Alaska Native communities is a complex problem.  They see both acute and long-term health impacts of the use of illegal drugs, such as spice, heroin and meth, as well as tobacco.  The hopes of this assignment is that by creating positive social norms through education and awareness of healthy choices is one way to influence behaviors and reduce use of tobacco, spice, meth and heroin among Alaska Native people.

This project is estimated between $150,000 and $400,000 for both years – and the accepted firm must have an office in Alaska.

Proposals are due December 3, 2015, and inquiries may be submitted to Bethany Jones at bajones@anthc.org
