Birmingham Royal Ballet has recently retained Clive Reeves Public Relations to deliver PR support for Ballet, Birmingham & Me, a two-year youth program, funded by the Big Lottery Fund and People Dancing (via Legacy Trust UK.), organized with the help of the Birmingham Youth Service and Birmingham Association of Youth Clubs.
Ballet, Birmingham & Me addresses 80 young people from across the city, who will be participating in various activities such as dance workshops and rehearsals, and producing an original version of Cinderella at Birmingham Hippodrome on Tuesday 7th December.
Among the strategies employed by Clive Reeves to promote the event, social media will play an important role in building awareness, aside other community outreach programs inherent for such events. The Birmingham Royal Ballet already has a media and PR manager, in the person of Simon Harper, however, he will be most of the time on the road, given the intensive touring schedule of the Ballet.
Ballet, Birmingham & Me runs alongside the creation of a major new production of Cinderella by Birmingham Royal Ballet’s director David Bintley and will be performed as part of the company’s 20th anniversary celebrations.
Among many agencies with experience in the arts, NYC based Hunter PR works in the arts.
