To hire a contractor to render the following professional services to New Mexico Tech and assist the Director of Communication and Marketing.

Scope of Work:
The contractor will render the following professional services to New Mexico Tech and will assist the Director of the Communication and Marketing with the following duties:
- Serve as the media agency on behalf of New Mexico Tech, with the authority to speak on behalf of the university, schedule media opportunities, and provide media content on behalf of New Mexico Tech. This includes:
-Purchasing advertising space/time on behalf of New Mexico Tech
-Producing marketing and advertising content on behalf of New Mexico Tech
-Negotiate advertising and marketing campaigns with all media outlets, including television, print, radio, outdoor, and digital
-Terminate related marketing agreements on behalf of New Mexico Tech
- Oversee, manage, and conduct university-wide media training for New Mexico Tech administration, faculty, and staff
- Identify marketing and communication priorities and develop programs to address needs to ensure consistent institutional branding and image
- Develop annual and long-range marketing plans with specific strategies, effective tactics, and measurable objectives
- Employ project management skills to implement comprehensive communication plans and strategies
- Advise the Communication and Marketing Director, Vice President of Student University Relations, University President, and their designees as needed, of communication, public relations, marketing, and social media strategies
- Compile and analyze market penetration indices to measure the success of marketing campaigns and communication efforts
- Objectively and measurably evaluate progress toward established goals and objectives
- Coordinate and analyze the effectiveness of New Mexico Tech’s social media strategy and campaigns
- Maintain adherence to New Mexico Tech’s established image and branding procedures
- Develop new programs to fit current attitudes and trends regarding the nmt.edu website, social media platforms, and other digital communication and marketing initiatives
- Generate collaborative activities and programs to increase the visibility and positive public image of New Mexico Tech
- Commit a minimum of 20 hours weekly to the execution of these duties and others, as assigned by the Communication and Marketing Director 1
