The Florida Department of Transportation hereafter referred to as the Department, requires sealed written Proposals from qualified Proposers to provide Districtwide Public Communications Consulting Services on District Six Construction Projects for The Florida Department of Transportation.
This Scope of Services describes and defines activities which may be required by the Florida Department of Transportation for a range of services to include: communication planning and implementation, public relations and community involvement, customer service, meeting and project documentation, general translation and interpreting services, project website development and maintenance, preparation of related media communications and collateral materials, media interviews, preparation of audio/video presentations, project planning coordination and implementation, and other services that may be related including supporting outreach efforts during all phases of a project as needed.
The Department shall request consultant services on an as-needed basis.
Background:
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT or Department) is an executive agency, which means it reports directly to the Governor. FDOT’s primary statutory responsibility is to coordinate the planning and development of a safe, viable, and balanced state transportation system serving all regions of the state, and to assure the compatibility of all components, including multimodal facilities. A multimodal transportation system combines two or more modes of movement of people or goods. Florida’s transportation system includes roadway, air, rail, sea, spaceports, bus transit, and bicycle and pedestrian facilities.
