Everything PR Reports That Porter Novelli Dumped By Timberland
Timberland, one of America’s leading footwear retailers is currently in search for a new PR Agency of record. Timberland has used Porter Novelli since 2003. Sources shared with Everything PR that Timberland is seeking agencies with deep lifestyle experience, including celebrity seeding experience and a deep ability to manage full-service integrated marketing work.
As Adweek reported 12 years ago, “Omnicom’s Porter Novelli has been named lead public relations agency for Timberland, the shop confirmed.” At the time, it was said that:” “Timberland represents the ideal brand for which Porter Novelli can deliver significant and measurable business impact,” said Julie Winkski, the agency senior partner who heads Porter Novelli’s consumer marketing practice.
Noteably, the agency won awards in 2014 for their work – as they boast on their website, they won for “Best Use of Analytics for “The Timberland Workshop: Analyzing Style Conversation” at the PRWeek Awards 2014.
As they note, “The Strategic Planning, Analytics & Research team at Porter Novelli used a combination of social media tools & live analysis to gather insights about the consumers, influencers and media driving conversations about Timberland and style online. Porter Novelli used those insights to create The Workshop – a one night panel, party and style lab – to celebrate the launch of Timberland’s new global brand campaign, Best Then. Better Now. The Workshop kicked off in Brooklyn, New York and rolled out to 9+ countries, driving conversation about Timberland as a stylish brand among Millennial consumers around the world.”
