Housing Authority Issues Marketing and Website RFP

The Houma-Terrebonne Housing Authority is seeking proposals from qualified firms/ individuals to provide the Housing Authority with social and self-sufficiency services for public housing residents, communication, public awareness, marketing resources services and website with newsletter.

Background:

The Houma-Terrebonne Housing Authority was created by Act 80 of the 20012 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature and is the successor to the Housing Authority of the City of Houma. HTHA provides decent, sanitary, safe and affordable housing options to the residents of Terrebonne Parish. HTHA is federally funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). HTHA engages in the purchase, modernization and administration of low-rent housing. HTHA also oversees community development programs whose primary purpose is the development of viable communities by providing decent housing, a suitable living environment and economic opportunities for people with low and moderate income levels.

Scope of Work:

SOCIAL AND SELF SUFFICIENCY SERVICES

These services are for the public housing residents.  This listing is not intended to be all inclusive and the selected provider may be asked to offer additional services.

  1. Life skills and job readiness training.
  2. Employment, career and occupational choices information and services
  3. Resident Job Skills Day with Application skills form for upcoming agency projects
  4. Organized recreational activity services
  5. Youth leadership training
  6. Linking tenants to community resources that will aid in self sufficiency
  7. Creating new partnerships between the PHA and other community based organizations and entities, both private and public
  8. Develop new service model where gaps are needed resources are discovered
  9. Dwelling lease education and eviction prevention training
  10. Community participation
  11. Health and Wellness education
  12. Economic and Community Development Opportunities and training
  13. Education advocacy, student and parental rights
  14. Housekeeping and maintenance standards
  15. Uniform Physical Condition Standards as it relates to HUD’s annual inspection
  16. Teaching gardening and development of a community garden at family site
  17. Public safety and crime fighting steps and resources for a safer community

  10. Newsletter redesign and editing ( must be 7 days before the 1st of the month)
  11. Informational and Marketing Collaterals
  12. Event Photography
  13. Production Services
  14. A series of promotional and informational professional videos
  15. Public Service Announcement (PSA) production
  16. Social and News Media
  17. Content Development for Social Media
  18. Management of Social Media Platforms
  19. Management of Facebook Site
  20. Website
  21. Maintain agency website with current information monthly
  22. Place RFP’s on website and any other agency information as needed
