LINKAGES Indonesia is seeking applications from advertising agency partners to hire a partner to collaborate in the development of a campaign aimed at increasing demand for Fast Track Jakarta.
In 2013 the Indonesian government launched the Strategic Use of AIDS (SUFA) policy – making antiretroviral treatment available for any person diagnosed with HIV. At the end of 2014, a year and a half after the SUFA program was launched, HIV testing reached slightly more than 1 million people, more than five times the number tested in 2010. Jakarta is one of 35 countries that UNAIDS identified as a priority country to adopt a Fast-Track approach to reach critical HIV prevention and treatment targets. In 2015, the Governor of Jakarta committed to the UNAIDS Fast-Track approach by signing the Paris Declaration. He has also instructed the mayors of the five Jakarta municipalities to develop their work plans and budgets in line with Fast-Track targets. By 2020, UNAID’s Fast-Track approach seeks to achieve ’90-90-90′: 90 percent of people living with HIV knowing their HIV status; 90 percent of people who know their HIV-positive status on treatment; and 90 percent of people on treatment with suppressed viral loads so that they are no longer infectious.
FHI 360 is developing a multi-media campaign aimed at reducing the impact of HIV in Indonesia. Targeted to a broad range of stakeholders, including at-risk key affected populations (KAPs), community-level (puskesmas) health providers, community based supporters, civil society organizations/NGOs, and government officials responsible for the national HIV response, the campaign will help to drive the goals of Fast Track Jakarta.
