University of Iowa is seeking an agency to do Mobile Application Design and Development. The University of Iowa solicits proposals for development of a mobile application based on a mobile application concept that provides short and long term benefits to users as they capture and document pregnancy milestones and the developmental progress of their child as part of a research study for the Center for Disability and Development at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, in an efficient professional manner, complying with Federal Regulations and University procedures.
The purpose of the Prototype is to get the App into the hands of the users to gather feedback and prove efficacy of the designs. The Prototype app will consist of a mobile only version of the app that will be prepared to interact with a Web Service back-end when it is created.
Background:
The University of Iowa is a broad-based public university of international stature. Scope of Work:
The successful Firm will work in partnership with the University and will be expected to fulfill the following scope of services:
To provide design and development of a mobile application that provides short and long term benefits to expectant mothers as they capture and document pregnancy milestones and the development progress of their child as they participate in a research initiative for the Center for Disability and Development at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.

• Creation of a detailed visual design for the application Creation of an early alpha version of the app
• Creation of a demonstration video
• Engineering and architecture work on the data collection engine, android app, and researcher interface
Future State: The next step plans for the project include:
• Develop and launch the iPhone App Prototype
• Create a HIPAA Compliant Data Collection Engine
• Create the Android Version of the App
• Continue ongoing maintenance of the app with the goal of creating a best-in-class product for users
