Daniel J. Edelman, the legend behind the world's most powerful PR company, died at the hospital today of heart failure. He was 92 years old.

Edelman has joined the #GivingTuesday initiative as part of their global citizenship program. From July 16 through September 13, the company’s employees in over 60 offices worldwide were involved in 60 days of professional and general volunteerism and fundraising. Edelman managed to contribute USD 1,047,352 in monetary and in-kind donations to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and over 70 hunger and poverty nonprofit organizations worldwide.
Edelman released the Edelman Privacy Risk Index℠ (ePRI) and an online benchmarking tool that help businesses and organizations make sense and address data security and privacy risks.
Christiaan Brown joined the world’s largest public relations firm, Edelman, as a senior vice president at the Seattle Technology practice, where he will report to leader Troy McCombs. Previous to this position, Brown was general manager of Hill+Knowlton Strategies Northwest and served as global client relationship manager of the Qualcomm account.
Ogilvy PR appointed Brian Maloney and Margie Fox as managing directors in its US consumer marketing practice, positions they will effectively occupy starting early 2013.
