Vocus made significant updates to its online news release distribution service, PRWeb, adding 200 new local distribution partners, distribution to the Internet’s top financial websites and new social sharing features. For the update, PRWeb partnered with Hearst Media, which provides 200 local media sites for the PRWeb distribution network, including the San Francisco Chronicle and the Houston Chronicle. PRWeb now offers a financial press release distribution package, ideal for publicly-traded companies wanting to reach investors, analysts and financial journalists. The package offers distribution to the Internet’s leading financial websites including Bloomberg, MarketWatch, WSJ Digital, MSN Money, Yahoo! Finance, Reuters, Morningstar, CNN Money, Barron’s and SmartMoney. New social sharing features on PRWeb include an expansion of the TweetIt feature that lets businesses amplify their news by publishing it to Facebook and LinkedIn. “These new enhancements make PRWeb the most social of all the major services and give businesses access to even more local and financial Web properties to reach their customers,” explained You Mon Tsang, Senior Vice President of Products at Vocus. The updates were deployed on PRWeb, as well as on the Vocus PR suite and the Vocus Marketing Suite.
