Public Relations Forum in Europe

The Swedish Public Relations Association (SPRA) and the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management are organizing the 6th World Public Relations Forum in Stockholm, 14‐15 June. The conference gathers international speakers, senior communication professionals and decision makers from public relations and marketing corporations around the world. Some 300 participants are expected to attend the event at the Clarion Hotel Sign next year – a unique opportunity for PR professionals to meet, discuss new strategies, expose their knowledge and brands to this growing group of decision makers.

SPRA is the second largest organization for professional communicators in Europe, after UK. This is the first time the World Public Relations Forum is held in Sweden – previous conferences were held in Rome (2003), Trieste (2005), Brasilia (2006), Cape Town (2007) and London (2008).

The theme for next year’s conference is “Communicative organizations – in pursuit of a new paradigm,” and it is based on the research project “Business Effective Communication” completed in 2008. Professor Sven Hamrefors presents in the video below the results of this research (*.pdf report) – you no longer control your network. The network decides whether you are valuable.

The WPRF coincides with the 60th birthday of The Swedish Public Relations Association. This will be celebrated in the City Hall on the night of the 14th June, in the Blue Hall which also hosts the Nobel Banquet each year. Good food, prominent guests and great location promise a wonderful night.

Registration fees are 700 € (Euro). This includes the two-day-conference, lunches, coffee-breaks and also Welcome Reception on Sunday evening and Celebration in the City Hall on Monday evening. Early registration fee (before or on February 10) is 500 €. You can register online here.
