Bollywood Star Kangana Ranaut Threatens Her Public Relations Company

Bollywood Star Kangana Ranaut

According to media reports emanating from India, one of the most prominent stars of the Bollywood Film Industry, Kangana Ranaut has sent a legal warning to a public relations firm whom she recently fired.

As was reported, her lawyer, Rizwan Siddiquee, sent a letter to an unnamed PR firm: “The representatives of your company out of bitterness then malafidely, mischievously and intentionally started spreading various false and absolutely misleading stories against my client to the media therein trying to cause serious damages to my client’s name, image and reputation.” Media reports claim the PR firm had been warned previously.

Her lawyers letter continues, “My client has sufficient proof which prima facie suggest that such stories are being circulated by the representatives of your company, on behalf of my client (I) call upon you to immediately stop indulging in such mischievous and malafide acts failing which I have been given peremptory instructions to immediately file both civil and criminal case of defamation against your company as well as initiate other appropriate proceedings at the risk, cost and consequences of your company.”

While her lawyer notes her client was disturbed, this isn’t the first time there’s been PR controversy surrounding Ranaut who has been a star of multiple movies, including films Raaz: The Mystery Continues and Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai

In the past, media reported that she had claimed to represent Paris Hilton in India — although Paris Hilton’s India representatives claimed it was a lie and she was using Paris’ name for “cheap publicity”. In fact, Paris Hilton’s Indian PR firm threatened legal action against Kangana Ranaut at the time.
On yet another occasion, Kangna Ranaut pleaded with the media, “Please don’t pay heed to all the nasty stories about me that are currently doing the rounds. All these stories are baseless.”

Then again, perhaps all this noise is why she threatened her public relations company. Interesting reading and a fascinating story. Know more? We’d love to hear it.
