Coyne PR’s Rent is $70K A Month, Rogers & Cowan Names New President(s)

Here are some of the biggest highlights from the latest happenings and news within the Public Relations industry:

$70K A MONTH RENT IN NYC FOR COYNE PR

The New York Post reported today that Coyne PR is moving their offices, to a 13,500 square foot office at 1400 Broadway in midtown Manhattan. Given rents in the building, monthly rent is an estimated $70K per month for the Tom Coyne agency.

The building is owned by Empire State Realty Trust – and other tenants in the building include Interpublic Group of Companies (advertising and PR conglomerate), OnDeck, Burlington Coat Factory, Kohl’s and others.

Next Fifteen Promotes Margi Booth to EVP

Next Fifteen offered M Booth chairman Margi Booth the position of Executive Vice President to help with the parent company of her PR agency. Next Fifteen is a digital communications firm and public relations group with fifteen separate agencies. Booth will divide her time as EVP of Next Fifteen and as chairman of M Booth, one of the agencies part of Next Fifteen.

Next Fifteen’s CEO Tim Dyson commented that this is a sign of growth for the firm, and a first for the executive staff:

“This is the first time we have ever had anyone in an executive capacity other than myself at the Next Fifteen level who is not on the operational side of the business,” Dyson said. “[Booth] is the first person to come in and work directly with the businesses on what they do.”

Next Fifteen owns and operates Text100, M Booth, Bite, The OutCast Agency, Beyond, and 463 Communications, among others.

Lewis Removes PR from Title

The firm (now former) Public Relations Firm Lewis has removed ‘PR’ in the company’s title to rebrand the firm’s role as an all-inclusive marketing and branding company. The change comes three years after being acquired by the Boston based agency DMG.

PR Consulting to Represent Grindr

PR Consulting is going to manage all public relations for the website Grindr. Grindr is a website specifically targeted for gay men, and employs a GPS function on smartphones to allow men link up with other men in the area.

PR Consulting is a firm that specializes in fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. Other companies represented by the firm are Dior, Versace, and Vera Wang.

Rogers & Cowan Promotes Co-President

Alan Nierob and Fran Curtis are Roger & Cowan’s new co-presidents, the first executives sitting as presidents since founder Warren Cowan left the company in 1992.

Roger & Cowan is an Entertainment PR company that specializes in high profile celebrities – their client list includes Chris Pratt, Denzel Washington, Liam Neeson, the Rolling Stones, Elton John, Andrea Bocelli and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
