New account wins at the top public relations agencies.

For some of the world’s most powerful PR agencies winning new clients seems to be the easiest task. MWW Group, Weber Shandwick, Ogilvy and others announce a new client every other day. Here are the latest new account wins for some of the top world PR companies.

MWW Group has been retained by Vitals, an online physician review and ratings resource, to help develop deeper consumer understanding of Vitals and its patient-sourced reviews and physician data. The account will be led by MWW Group’s consumer lifestyle and Dialogue Digital teams out of the agency’s New York City office.

Weber Shandwick has been named PR agency of record by Reading Is Fundamental (RIF), the largest children’s literacy nonprofit organization in the United States, following a competitive pitch. The PR agency will provide guidance and counsel for a variety of public relations initiatives, developing a comprehensive communications platform, which will continue to showcase RIF’s work delivering free books and literacy resources to children who need them most.

As part of RIF’s milestone 45th anniversary year, Weber Shandwick will support the organization’s rebranding initiatives and will publicize major elements of the rebrand as they roll out over the course of 2012. This includes a strategic media outreach program, targeted at both digital and traditional media.

Ogilvy Public Relations (Ogilvy PR) has been appointed as PR agency of record in North America for Aspect®, provider of customer contact and Microsoft platform solutions. The Ogilvy PR technology practice in Chicago will lead the engagement with Aspect to build thought leadership around the company’s next-generation offerings. The agency began work in January following a competitive review.

5W Public Relations announced the addition of grandparents.com to its roster of Consumer Lifestyle clients. Grandparents.com is a social media website for today’s grandparents. The website offers enriching activities, discussion groups, expert advice, ten monthly newsletters, and a Benefits Club with discounts on thousands of goods and services.
