In the latest edition of PR Movers and Shakers – here is our roundup of the latest PR News:

Jessica Sibley has been named Associate Publisher of Advertising for Teen Vogue. The appointment is effective February 6th with Sibley reporting to Jason Wagenheim, Teen Vogue’s Vice President and Publisher.

Goodyear (NYSE: GT) has named Christopher Curran vice president of public relations and communications for its North American Tire business. Curran will join Goodyear on February 6, 2012, replacing Ed Markey, who was named Goodyear vice president of corporate communications in March, 2011.

Deploy Technologies has appointed Yan (Nicolette) Wang as its Director of Corporate Communications.

Axion Power International has appointed Vani Kumar Dantam to the new position of Senior Vice President/Business Development, Sales & Marketing. Previously Dantam was Vice President/Business Development & Sales for NYC-based Ener1 Inc., a supplier of lithium-ion batteries and associated software and systems.

Weber Shandwick has named Robert Dowling president of the firm’s New York office. Dowling has relocated to New York and will report to Gail Heimann, the firm’s global vice chair.

Michael De Medeiros has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of Men’s Fitness, AMI’s monthly magazine that services young, performance-driven men by mixing fitness and nutrition with fashion, grooming and sports, as well as other editorial that comprise an active lifestyle.

Wendy Flanagan, President, Brand4Market, has been elected by national vote for a Member at Large Board of Directors position for the Marketing Executives Networking Group (MENG).

Washington Women in Public Relations (WWPR) announced its 2012 board of directors. President is Tina McCormack Beaty from Porter Novelli. The complete list can be found via PRNewswire.

Adtegrity has appointed Tom Simpson as Vice President of West Coast Sales. Simpson will lead Adtegrity’s business development and sales efforts in west coast markets.

Comcast Cable has named Amy Lynch as the Area Vice President for Comcast California’s Southwest Bay Area. Lynch will report directly to Marty Robinson, Vice President of Technical Operations for Comcast California, and will oversee all aspects of Comcast’s operations for one of cable TV’s highest profile territories – Silicon Valley and the tech-savvy San Francisco Peninsula.

AdoTube announced the appointment of Thomas MacLean as Vice President of Sales at the new Detroit sales office. In addition, AdoTube also appointed two new Account Executives, Bia Parente and Carter Wall, to the New York and Chicago offices respectively.

PR Newswire appointed Bradley H. Smith as Director of Marketing for the company’s Investor Relations (IR) & Compliance Solutions. Smith will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s IR and compliance marketing strategy, including branding, social media, public relations and product marketing.

Abine has appointed Kristina Kennedy as vice president of marketing. Kennedy joins Abine with extensive experience building high-growth consumer–web brands, having most recently filled marketing roles at Zipcar and Gazelle.

Buy.com appointed Bernard Luthi as chief marketing officer. Previously, Luthi was vice president of marketing, web management and customer service at Newegg.com. Luthi will lead Buy.com’s marketing initiatives, including web site experience, advertising, BuyTV, public relations and promotions. In addition, he will work closely with Buy.com parent company Rakuten on overall corporate branding.
