Social Media PR: Non-commercial Social Media Round Table in New York

With limited number of participants, and only a few days before it starts, the Alumni Futures Social Media Round Table NYC will open its doors July 22, from 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (ET). The event, organized by Andy Shaindlin of Alumni Futures and Elizabeth Allen of Adaptivate, charges $229 for non-profit participants and $299 for commercial attendees (limit 3 attendees in this category). Registration fee includes Round Table presentations, discussion and feedback, as well as continental breakfast, and deli-style lunch on site.

The venue, which is not specified on the Eventbrite page, was provided by Hogan Lovells US LLP. To learn everything about the event, send an email to andy@alumnifutures.com.

The Social Media Round Table is a day-long discussion (a mini-conference), with space for just 15 professionals from schools, colleges and universities, or from other non-profits connected with education. Fundraisers, communications professionals, alumni officers are all welcome, but other fields are welcome too: student affairs, athletics, career services, admissions and more.

Up to three spots are available for representatives from the private sector – consultants, vendors or others whose work connects them to education or non-profits. The Round Table is designed for individuals with low to moderate exposure to social media, not for complete beginners or for expert “power users.”

The Round Table is an independent event and is not associated with any professional organization, any firm or any educational institution.
