Twitter Suspends UberTwitter, twidroyd, and UberCurrent

Twitter suspended UberTwitter, twidroyd, and UberCurrent today — the three UberMedia-owned clients that together move roughly 2% of Twitter's traffic. UberMedia has agreed to Twitter's demands and will rebrand UberTwitter as UberSocial. Read as branding dispute the story is minor. Read as platform strategy it is the opening shot in something larger.
