Michael Renaldo Joins Interdependence Public Relations

Interdependence Public Relations said Renaldo would be the firm’s President of Global Health Business. As such, he will be responsible for steering their business strategy, providing senior counsel, nurturing relationships with their healthcare clients, and bolstering the agency’s presence and standing in the worldwide healthcare community. Rinaldo’s successful experience spans all aspects of healthcare PR over a 30-year career, which included taking the lead in building dna Communications into a major global healthcare PR player. The agency is part of the INC and Weber Shandwick network. Before that, Rinaldo spent more than ten years at Fleishman Hillard, where he oversaw the firm’s global healthcare practice.

New Jersey’s Pandemic Relief Fund Lands MWWPR

The nonprofit fund whose purpose is to help organizations that provide essential services on the front line while combating the medical, social and economic effects of COVOID-19, was delighted to learn that New Jersey’s largest PR firm has offered to perform pro bono communications work for them. Four crucial challenges are facing New Jersey. They include arresting the spread of COVID-19, supporting frontline and healthcare workers, extending assistance to the vulnerable, and rebuilding affected communities. Every dollar of the $38 million raised to date will be used toward that mission.

Alyson Grala Back at Rubenstein PR

In making the announcement, Richard Rubenstein, President and CEO of the agency said Grala returned as his vice president and will be using her strong media relations and message development skills to build brand exposure for their distinct range of clients. Grala’s media background includes previously serving as managing editor at GlobeSt, a national and regional real estate news publication, and as associate editor at License! Magazine.

Between her media jobs and return to Rubenstein, Grala was account director in charge of media relations and communications for Great Ink Communications.

Ronn Torossian Inks Second Book Deal

The founder and CEO of 5WPR, Ronn Torossian, has signed his second book deal with BenBella Books. It will be a revised and updated version of his 2011 book, “For Immediate Release: Shape Minds, Build Brands, and Deliver Game-Changing Public Relations.”

In making the announcement, Torossian explained that PR has changed tremendously in the past decade and that his revised book will portray the present PR environment. His first book, which was co-authored by Karen Kelly, is used nationally in college curriculums, and quickly shot up to Amazon’s PR Best-Seller list and Book Authority’s Best Public Relations Books of All-Time list. It is scheduled for release in February 2021.

Bloom is Re-launched

Ruder Finn recently announced that it had acquired PR firm Jacobstahl to guide its re-launch of Bloom, a long-standing incubator subsidiary and Bloom Health whose focus is on the health tech sector. It will be managed by Jacobstahl partners, Sandra Stahl and Jeremy Jacob.

Ruder Finn CEO Kathy Bloomgarden said Bloom has the leadership and insight to lead the agency on its road to delivering the best in healthcare communications. Jacobstahl last year introduced ISSUES360 that provides clients with communications solutions to a variety of challenges.
