[caption id="attachment_36149" align="alignleft" width="200"] Because sex is no longer a taboo subject, Ogilvy PR is now the Global AOR for We Vibe and other personal pleasure products.[/caption] Ogilvy Public Relations has recently closed a global partnership with Standard Innovation Corporation, to support the brand across all communications channels from traditional PR including media relations, events, and thought leadership opportunities to transmedia content strategy and creation. Ogilvy PR will particularly employ strategies to promote Standard Innovation Corporation's We-Vibe, the world's first rechargeable couples' vibrator, and the fastest-selling vibrator in history, with two million customers from more than 50 countries around the world. The product was launched in 2008, and is this year at its third iteration. Kate Cronin, Global Head of Ogilvy PR's Healthcare Practice and Managing Director for Ogilvy PR/New York explained that sex is no longer a taboo topic discussed behind closed doors, and that the new relationship with Standard Innovation Corporation strengthens the company's position as leaders in the consumer health industry.
"Ogilvy PR's legacy and deep branding experience, combined with their global reach, made them the best partner to help us continue to build and sustain momentum for our rapidly growing business," explained Danny Osadca, CEO of Standard Innovation Corporation.
We-Vibe III is not the only Standard Innovation Corporation product that will be promoted by Ogilvy. There will be PR strategies in place for other popular pleasure products including Touch, Tango and Salsa.
