MWW PR Attends Town Meeting Undercover
MWW PR, a recently attended the Hazlet Township, New Jersey meeting regarding JPC&L’s power line proposal. It was a public meeting, so they were welcome to do so, as well as any representatives from the company’s executive staff, but media reports indicate local residents were upset about the secretive and shady nature of their attendance. Only after the meeting was over was it confirmed who sent the two gentlemen taking notes.
Ron Morano, JCP&L’s spokesman, said, “We did have a consultant from MWW in attendance at the Hazlet meeting; it might have been two. JCP&L employees and consultants attend municipal and other government meetings on a regular basis. It is part of our normal business practice.”
Once residents started to single the two out in the meeting, they left – in fact, they left in a hurry if reports are to be believed, not clearing away their trash either – prompting one citizen, Robert Spinelli, to remark, “JCP&L would rather put profit over our health and can’t be trusted to pick up their trash at a meeting, but we’re supposed to trust them not to ruin the environment?”
